Agni

Agni is the Vedic god of fire and is the bird that carries sacrifices to the devas. He is also Prometheus, and brought light to man. Agni is the sun and presides over the wedding ceremony. He is the babe, present in the kindling of the cooking fire. He is the purifier.

“One Star in the Company of Stars of whose fire we are created – I am the flame that burns in every heart of man.”

I am licked by the flames of Agni and my heart burns in infinite fire.

“I am purified – I am sanctified.”
